THE FOUNTAINHEAD GROUP

​​This spring, Cara is showing "In Situ" a group of three installations addressing the concepts of "Value", "Chroma", and "Intensity". Featuring several works created over the last year installed in themed living room-like environments.

This series began with collage drawings that included recycled unused drawing fragments as a way to generate new ideas and new relationships. These drawing fragments were comprised of different patterns created over several years as well as a variety of many small shapes left over from finished pieces.

Candice and Jennifer are two friends who share a love for fashion and finding great bargains. In November 2019 they hatched the idea of starting a pop-up shop selling their own items. The news spread and they started to take in consignments from others. The outpouring of enthusiasm and support from the community was overwhelming and results exceeded expectations.

Six weeks later C&J found themselves searching for a larger, more permanent space and ended up in the heart of the Pilsen art district. Today they are offering curated consignment with personal styling to help women look chic, and they have a great time doing it!

My practice is an ongoing exploration of survival, resonance, and the delicate impermanence of the human experience. This work is deeply rooted in a pivotal moment of collapse and rebirth; The Heart Resonance series began the exact moment my own heart temporarily stopped during a surgical procedure in 2024.

Emerging from that experience, I became fascinated by the anatomical reality of the heart as a spiraling, vibrating vortex curled at our center. My work attempts to translate this biological rhythm into a spiritual one, viewing the heart not merely as an organ, but as a unique physical record of our lived experiences—mapping the imprints that both trauma and triumph leave behind.

To capture this energy, I engage in an automatic, highly tactile process, often bypassing traditional tools to apply medium directly with my hands and fingers. This gestural approach serves as a meditative ritual of physical and spiritual healing, allowing the canvas to become a site of recovery.

By rendering textures and forms that are at once powerfully expressive and delicately fragile, I invite viewers to witness the heart's continuous vibration. These pieces are a testament to resilience and a celebration of the profound, persistent act of the continuing and eternal rhythm of life.

I’m inspired by the emotion found in the way the light falls on a moment overlooked a million times, that is suddenly, and readily, apparent. Form, texture, and color are the shiny trinkets that catch my eye, like a curious bird, amassing a cache of fragmented stories, abstraction, and everyday mysteries that root my life in time. 
 
My subjects have been found in the course of daily life, moving between landscapes, in family and strangers, as well as the quiet, still life discovered in unexpected places, and in what others might discard. It is during the process of editing and curation that my subconscious intentions are made more clear as relationships and patterns emerge amongst the images. These small observations gather into a quiet record of how I move through the world.

Nicole Loud-Ramirez is a multidisciplinary artist working across a range of 3D mediums, including small metals, ceramics, glass, and marble. Her practice also extends into resin, flower preservation, and expansive bioactive terrariums, where natural ecosystems intersect with contemporary materials. Proficient in both Japanese and Western calligraphy, she bridges traditional techniques with modern experimentation.

Alexander Jose Luis Ramirez is a multidisciplinary artist from Miami, Florida, who works with digital media, food, and metal. Through his interactions within his own culture, he critiques the Catholic Church, Cuban culture, and conservative views, emphasizing the self-destructive delusions they perpetuate. His performances and sculptures, such as edible portraits made of bread and chocolate, invite viewers to reflect on the consumption of identity and cultural frustration.

Megan Parker of Moving Altars is an emerging contemporary abstract artist known for her atmospheric compositions and earthy color palettes. Her work explores the impact of simplicity and environment on emotional states, inviting viewers into quiet, reflective spaces. Rooted in intuition and inspired by the natural world, her paintings evoke a sense of calm and connection that feels both grounding and ethereal. Her work has been seen in AD, Austin Home and Rue Magazine.
